Superbowl Car Ads

Mini Ad, #DefyLabels

Mini 2016 super bowl advertisement is a strong message that the company wishes to deliver to the public to stop stereotyping, but instead look into what the car is really about. They have attached to it slogan hash tag #DefyLabels. Serena Williams appear in the first shot to talk about her personal story on how some people labeled her in positive and negative ways, and how those critics, and showing her confidence is what counts really She is a Chick. Another American soccer-goalie great Abby Wambach, portrays how strong and good looking the car is as her in my opinion, and there was a little girl who depict how Mini can be cute, strong, and powerful as a brand.

The Mini agency here wants to sell their car by showing consumer to cut the visual stereotype, and see the cars for its real value. They did that by incorporating story telling of reputable people with real experience, and then have them give their honest opinion on the car, while with each person they showed different style, and great designs of the car. Mini has larger, and quality cars too as depicted by car racers seen in the ad.
The big idea and S.T.A.R moment is that Mini cars has been competing and remain successful in the car industry. Reputable and regular people love the brand personally due to the cars design, capabilities, or whatever. At the end, they telling you how versatile it is because it suits everyone, so take it or leave it if you do not want to think about getting the best car out there.

Space Babies 2014 Kia Sorento - Super Bowl 2013

The Kia Sorento 2014 super bowl advertisement was a unique, but clever one that is trying to sell their new model cars to an international, diverse audience. There is a long shot where you sell a White and Black babies to pass a message to parents that all baby colors fits in, and will enjoy the ride. There is a close up shot on the dad’s face that portrays cleverness, and professionalism with his classes and dress code. The shots of the planet spaceships going fast depict speed capabilities, and animals featuring tell that pets are accommodated for a safe ride too.

The advertiser chose the spaceship images to tell us the speed performance of the car, and how the destination or brakes can be controlled easily once arrived at the destination (when the 9 months comes they know exactly where to land). Showing images in the African land, and the ocean show the extended possible market the car could be sold and run smoothly in. it has an international market.
What I would change to appeal to the teenage audience, which is an important one, could be the dad, or mother plug their phone, or other trendy music devices to play a nice music via Bluetooth, or Wi-Fi at the end instead of showing the music board playing a toddler theme song because we all know already that most cars have stereo features for little kid to watch during rides.
